Artist's Comments
This is another version of my "Nic's Bloody Hole..." I cannot decide which one I like better! My flatmate and I were altogether far too keen to play with some gothic make-up and attempt something creative. The photo itself is one of my first attempts at photographs that aren't snapshots at family get togethers and can be found in my scrap book. The background colour was created using duotones, a black and a dark purple. A dark red gloss was used on the lips in the original photo, which was colour burned in Photoshop, and the teeth were whitened using a maximum filter, some blurring and a lot of handy eraser work.
